The original intention of this recording project was to encode the vibrations from the gongs onto an analog disc to recreate their sonic energy as faithfully as possible so that listeners will feel transported to another realm or deeper state of consciousness. The seven tracks were mastered specifically for this & they sound fantastic in this format. The album looks quite beautiful as well pressed onto gold metallic vinyl with the vibrant full size art by Douglas Taylor.

The intention of this album is discovery — exploring your dreams, uncovering the long-buried past, as well as noticing and embracing the brilliant, golden resonance that is always surrounding you.

I stumbled upon a particular story about one of the advanced civilizations of the ancient world, where the Lemurians crafted twelve magnificent Sun Discs. These Sun Discs were powerful, ceremonial objects made of transmuted gold that were used in rituals, for healing, and could even transport one anywhere they set their mind. Before the destruction of the continent of Atlantis by evil forces, the wise ones dispersed these sacred instruments around the planet so they would be safe from any who would try to harness their infinite intelligent energies to cause harm to the Earth. The primary Sun Disc which controlled or activated the other eleven, was initially hidden beneath Lake Titicaca in South America. At some point it was decided that a more advanced grid of protection was necessary, and the guardian priests brought that Sun Disc to the crystal vortex below what is now known as Pinnacle Mountain in Arkansas.

While at first it may seem strange to bring such an extraordinary apparatus to Arkansas of all places, there is no denying there is a special energy about this land. Indeed there is a mystical presence amidst its natural beauty. The mountains, forests, rivers, waterfalls, and caves here feel like shrines. I have often wondered why I originally came here, what attracted me nearly 20 years ago. A sensitive woman once told me that many of the souls from that last, lost era of Atlantis have chosen to reincarnate here for a great divine purpose, designating this world inside the ley lines of The Natural State as “Arklantis.”

Being a gong player in Arkansas, the idea of these mythical Sun Discs is fascinating to me. Incidentally, the first gong I collected has a fundamental tone based on the frequency of the Sun. Those Lemurian tales seemed somehow familiar to me and I felt compelled to set up my gongs in the beautiful, historic Dreamland Ballroom and record the complex and mysterious vibrational energy that was channeled out, now inscribed into the grooves of this record. Perhaps I am one of those Arklanteans, seeking out my great purpose? Lifetime after lifetime, our spiritual selves tend to draw towards who and what we've known before. Perhaps you, as you are reading this, are wondering if you are one as well. Follow that pull that you feel. Listen deeply, and explore the pathway that unfolds before you. Be kind and patient with yourself. It’s not at all easy to comprehend the nature of our own individual realities.

That's the thing about a myth — it can't be separated from its probable fiction any more than it can be attached to its impossible fact.
